Pastel Summer

Picture perfect, right? Well, I always say this but I seriously love sunrises and sunsets along the beaches. I can never get enough of how beautiful everything is when the sun slowly lights up the earth in the morning and how it slowly crawls up to hide away at dusk.

I love going on holidays to the beach. Just last weekend, I went off to Alaçati. For me, holiday means going to bed early and waking up early to catch the sunrise to actually enjoy the quiet morning. If you've been to touristy places, that's actually the best time to savor the peace and beauty of mornings without anyone spoiling it. And of course to take photos. Lol

We did just that last weekend. We took these photos below and we had some few moments to play with the sand and seawater. Few moments, because it actually thundered and rained. Lol. You can't imagine how funny it was when I had to run away from the water because the lightning was literally striking the waters.

My friend was like, "why are you running away?". All I could do was roll my eyes and say "Science!"

Anyways, I wore  a dress from H&M, a cardigan from LC WAIKIKI (they actually have cute and beautiful cardigans) and my awesome straw hat from De Facto. I always get lucky how they actually blend in the background. Thank you for reading. I hope you are having a great week.

Classic

Who doesn't love a good holiday? Nobody. Lol. I mean, come on. No need to wake up early and work your ass off. Haha.  Well, we had a holiday on Thursday last week. I decide to wake up early to grab a cup of my favorite cafe latte from the only Starbucks in town.

I didn't really have time to think what to wear. On days like this... I opt to wear a t-shirt. I haven't gotten over my lace mini skirt so I wore that one too. It was a pretty sunny day but one can't be sure what happens in the next hours so I wore my purple cardigan. It is super soft, I'm so in love with it.

It's my chance to wear my lace up sandals so I grabbed the opportunity. What do you think? White is always a classic color, right? Why not make it look sweeter by adding some pastel candy color sometimes. Thanks for dropping by my blog dear readers. I hope you are all having a great workweek.

Sit Still, Look Pretty

Ever heard a song once and then you can't just get it off your head. When a song gets stuck in your head, we say it is your last song syndrome or we say LSS. These days, the song -- Sit, Still, Look Pretty sung by Daya -- is pretty much the only thing on replay. I love how the song reminds you to how to be a woman independent from a man and that you could be a queen without needing a king and still rule the world. The melody is super catchy as well.

This song inspired my weekend outfit. I wore my  Something Borrowed  black lace shift dress I bought months ago via Zalora Thailand. Paired it with my lace up brown flat shoes, my small crossbody brown bag and my favorite brown hat to keep my messy hair in place...
What's on your playlist? Let me know. Thanks for dropping by.

Istanbul Adventures

I'd love to walk around cities I fell in love with even before I'd been there. I had loved Istanbul before I'd been to it. So whenever I have the chance to visit it, I'd take the chance. So here's what I usually do the first day I get there.

In the morning, I go straight to the Blue Mosque, head down to Hagia Sophia then to Topkapi Palace. Right after that, have a coffee in Green Cafe. The people there are so funny.. I even have a photo with the chefs. I love how they actually said, I could have Turkish coffee for free there whenever I'm in town. Turkish people are really nice. When I'm done, I head out to Gulhane Park. It is a cute park which is sooo pretty in April because it will be filled with the Tulips. Once you reached the end, you can take the exit and walk out to the Gulhane Tram station and head out to Eminonu.

Once you get to Eminonu, please try that Balik ekmek (fish bread). You won't regret it. They catch the fish fresh from the sea and cooked them right away. Best thing ever... Yumm... It gets so crowded coz everyone just wanna try it. So don't skip such experience when you are there.

Right after eating, you better catch that boat heading to Sariyer. It stops at Ortakoy and goes to Sariyer. My favorite spot to hang out to enjoy the sunset while watching the seagulls and pretty much savor the salty fresh air while sipping that margarita is in Ortakoy.

To wash out that tipsiness, I like walking  back to Kabatas tramway station. On the way, you would  see the Dolmabance Palace and that awesome Besiktas stadium and it isn't scary at all because there are so many people walking along with you.

For such a warm, sunny springy day, I wore my denim jacket over  my favorite old white dress. Paired with my favorite white super comfy sneakers and don't forget your hat.
